Dumbest deal that I passed up was a 428 Cobrajet Mustang which was for sale locally for about £450 in the early 80's. Had horrible flared arches and a 390 in it, but was a genuine 428 CJ.
Also passed on a mint 1970 V code 4 speed Beeper for $11k (£5k at the time) at the USA Mopar Nats in 1991. Because I didn't like yellow.

I had a fairly nice 77 Mustang2 Giha right hand drive(with the 302) in about 98/99 i put it for sale and got offered against it as a deal 4 cars
one of them was a 70 Panther Pink Duster
with a 383 in it and he also had a 340 motor to go with it and many spares.
But i was short of cash at the time and did not go for it and it needed a fair bit of work to be ok,does anyone remember the car? it was owned by a Guy in Manchester called the German and before that by a guy called Doug who still goes to the Nags Head today, the Duster had a horrible paint job with an American Eagle painted on both sides of the car and it had a glass hood with scoop with 383 painted on it..where is the car now? the German emigrated to Malasia i think?
Although the car was Horrid! it was fairly solid and road legal(just) it could have made a good car with some work so not a bad swap for a Mustang2 i sold for £500 with a broken gearbox

IF it's a genuine 409 car, none of the previous owners was able to prove that it was.steveo wrote:Nick wrote:Reel Steel used to bring in cars when they first started trading.
