I imported my Satellite from Belgium a few years ago. Apart from transportation it cost £39 to register, about £20 for number plates and the MOT costs. It was much simpler than I expected. My car was unregistered in Belgium so I had to have the proper customs clearance forms from the importer (which they had). This has the notarised export details and the previous owner. This must be given in at the registeration centre - remember to take a photocopy first - they don;t give it back. I registered my car in Brighton and they were very helpful.

The DVLA website was qiuite useful - although it's changed a bit since I last used it.

Was hoping you were touring Europe getting back all the cars they've bought. :(
