body panels

Post by Anonymous »

Hi guys ,I don't know whether this is the right forum for this , but I need some body panels for my '74 Satellite (front floor pans, fender patch panels, & trunk floor) which are available in the states, but is it better (ie cheaper) to ship them myself or order them through a shop over here , and if so ,which shop ? Hope you can help

You could try www.six-packspeedshop.be or www.usaimports.co.uk both of which may be able to get the panels in for you. They are a good alternative to doing it all yourself. Don't be put off by that though, it isnt that much of a hassle. :thumbright:

moonman, i'm in the process of getting panels for my charger, i've had a quote from the states and the shipping was only $300 to manchester airport. the down side is the import tax & vat, the total cost of panels & shippin $1200 (£600ish), but with tax & vat will be about £800.
i'm waiting for a price from the six-pack speed shop, but he did say that big panels (rear quarter) are expensive to ship to here.

thanks guys I'll look into all options , one of the panels .( trunk floor )I can only find at one place www.autobodyspecialt.com , though on a plus note ,from May or June this year they are producing quarter panels for '74 b-bodies so I'll wait 'til then.
Cheers Doug

Let us know how much the rear quarters are to ship. How many panels were you getting shipped for $300? I've got to get tail light panel, rear quarters, inner arches, floors front and rear, and the panel behind the rear screen.

Thanks Gene66, that doesn't work out bad. Rear quarters are cheaper than I thought. With the weight I would say it was quite reasonable. :thumbright:
Should've done your order x2. Looks like you need just about everything I need.
