Why would you put an engine on which is clearly stronger than the recommended maximum strength of the components it was transmitting torque through?
Pretty stupid in my opinion. You gonna dyno a 2000hp motor then you really want a drive line capable of accepting that sort of power. And as for the dyno itself, is it really capable of accurately measuring and engine of that power? If it were it would be a very expensive machine and that doesn't look like a very expensive machine!
The key to any testing of this nature is repeatability. I see a whole lot of numbers thrown around with regard to claims of engine power and supposedly backed up by testing. But very often the testing process itself is flawed.
Makes for an exciting vid though, which is sufficient to make most would be customers believe anything they are told. This is where in my opinion Hot Rodders are just as guilty as Boy Racers at buying into exploded claims of power and performance.
