Been doing some filling/priming on me old VW
How do i get primer off the good paint without damaging it?

T cut has worked in the past for me.
used it for getting sign writing and petty vandalism (spray painted tags) off.
slow process.
but that was in the days when t-cut was manly and contained nasty chemicals that melted the top surface of the paint
these days the content of the good-stuff is gone and its mainly just the abrasive content that does the work.
hence slower process.
but don't take that as the last word and try it tonight (although minimal chance of damage if you are careful)
you need more of a paint expert than me
