We are considering visiting the states for a week to 10 days during the second half of this year.
I would like to conbine our stay with an NHRA event. As I have already been to Pomona, I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences of any of the other events, and things to do etc. in their surrounding areas.

I'd start by taking a look at the schedule and seeing what takes your fancy - where would you like to go in the US?

I would def consider Las Vegas, there are two races there I think, I've been to Dallas, Brainerd, Indy, Gainesville and Pomona for NHRA races (most a while back!). Any of the races are worth visiting, but really it depends what kind of a holiday you want, if you want a busy holiday you'll want to do Vegas, California etc, if you want to see the country some of the other races will take you out into the wide open spaces!
