rear quarter glass re-fitting

Post by Anonymous »

:help: Hi guys can anyone tell me if there is a fitting kit to re-fit the quarter glass back in to a charger :? it is doing my head in

I have put all the glass on a bench but i think there are some of the fittings missing like the plastic glass to lift arm nuts and some other plastic guides :study:

But i have tried to get them from wasp but CHRIS said they are not listed :banghead: and JIM'S AUTO PARTS .COM want the part numbers 8-[
All i want is to put the glass back in ALSO is there a kit for re-fitting the chrome trim on the top of the doors, rear quarters and around the sail pannels  :wav: :wav: :wav:

Year one have the complete kit , all the bushes you need.

The rear 1/4 window is a nightmare , even going by the factory service manual , as it is in 3d , i think this was probably the only job on the Pit where i had to keep scraching me head.

One of those puzzles you can't begin to explain how to assemble on the site.

The sail panel chrome strips have studs on them which are fixed with speed nuts , also a nightmare.

The chrome strips on all the doors are fixed with spring clips , also from Year One.

You may want to fix the 1/4 glass back temporary , just offer it in the opening & wedge it up. ;)

The inner window felts are fixed to the back off the upper door panels , where the outer ones are screwed into the rear 1/4 panel.

Good luck.
