pete,
i honestly reckon your best bet is to say sod it, go the hog, a few yrs ago you spent x amount on the rear suspension, this yr your gonna spend x amount on the rear suspension, in the future YOU WILL WANT TO RUN FASTER, AND THEN SPEND X AMOUNT ON THE SUSPENSION,
so get it back halved NOW, 4 linked 15" tires, big massive tub,s you can afford it, so do it i am not being flippant but make the most off the new mtr, it will become very consistant,
think long and hard mate spend it once this time dont forget hauser aint the only chassis man shop around a bit,

Pete what do you want ??
Do you want to run in KOS and kick most of our A***s or just go very fast
If KOS then keep it simple but effective stock springs n shocks or Caltracs and Mono's
Or if Very Fast, just go the whole hog as Duncan said and get a fully set up rear end to harness the power.
Either way its gonna look the Dogs...
...and with that weight off the Nose, you'll be chasing Blues featherweight Bullet
Fast aint never fast enough.....saw that on a 68 SS style Cuda in New England, a few years back, that ran a 8.90 fantastic
You know you'll wanna go faster, its amazing how quick you become acustomed to it....its not really gonna be a street car is it / or is it ??

ALL KILLER NO FILLER
Nostalgia, its not what it used to be.
Carbon footprint of a Saturn V

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I do appreciate them, it gives me more food for thought. The jury is still out. I think Julie's car will get done first the rate we are going, but that is just a replacement Axle, 4 link and prop.
I love the nostalgia bit, but i also like the way a more radical set up launches; time for a neck brace, I think.
I really need your old Hemi or your other heads Duncan
If in doubt add more power

Indeed, the killer at the moment is the Dana's are on back order and 7 weeks late. We would have got Julie's car in first for a quick turn around (Axle and Ladder Bars), but as that is in delay we thought we would gt the chassis work done in the Sox first.
The Sox is staying on Cart springs - "Old School" - so will be an easy install when the new axle turns up. That way I get it back to re-wire it while Julie's car gets the axle work completed.
The cracked block in Julie's car has tended to urinate on our french fries; but we will have to find a solution. If not then the old R/B-based 500 will be pressed back in to service in the short term.
The Altenative is to sell/swop a "B" body for a Hemi motor? Any takers????
Though not...........
