Adam rang Friday night and told me I was going to the Pod rain or shine.
Then Big Al phoned and asked if I could mind Teddy his 6 Yr old son at the track and the Devil was up for it as well.
Now there was no way I was going to miss this so as casually as you like I said OK.
The day started well except Adam made the arrangement with Al to meet at my gaff the night before after 6 pints so Al turned up at 9am we rang Adam and he was just getting the pit out of bed.
Got going at 10am and hunted down some leaded 4 star 99ron then set off for Podland.
No Time to stop for breaky so grabbed a tea from the services which Adam spilled on his knob at 80mph Larfed I nearly cried

Just before Junction 15 The Devil pulled up on the hard shoulder with the Amp light on and smoke coming from the steering column.

Got to the Pod Adam had forgot his 850 double pumper and Al's mate Axle Paul had not brought his carb so both had to run on there road carbs which I think are 750's.
While Al rewired the Devil Adam put in a couple of runs with and without the Gearvenders but no Nos.
Basically he was running out of fuel 3/4 up the strip puffing and banging over the line. Still did a 12
Poo or bust shut of the exhausts switch on the Gearvenders and a sniff of Nos bang of the line and the results are in the pictures. 11.96:thumbright:
Next up the Devil with a battery pack in the boot and the alternator not working and bang a fantastic launch then nada, the battery pack shot backwards in the boot smashed a fuse block switched of the fuel pump and the Devil was towed of the track.
Little teddy then asked if his daddy was going to be arrested:D Out of the mouths of babes eh.
I guarantee that was a sub eleven run if the pump had held out.
So it is still anybody's guess who's going to take the laurels with carbs set up and Als electrics sorted who knows the PIT or the DEVIL?
It was also great to meet Terry R who put in a great run and the pictures are here to prove it well done mate.
