Simon. The majority of shelf stacking monkeys know about these T-Hunts so they are snapped up before they hit the pegs. Once in Toy's R Us an assistant saw me perusing the Hot Wheels and said there was an unopend box out back if I wanted to open it and have a look  How exciting! He brought it out but it had already been opened. At the time the cars came in a box of 72 and if you were lucky there would be 1 TH in a box. I counted how many cars were in the box. Guess what! 71 cars, no TH! :?
The other year there was an unopened box of cars from 1969 discovered in the States. The decision was not to open it! Instead they x rayed it to ascertain the contents, but obviously no one knows what SpectraFlame excitement is in there!! :D

Back in the days when I was first aware of THs and couldn't find them there was a little diecast shop next to Heaven Gay Club in Charing Cross. He had the occasional TH for £7-8, this was back in about '99. He bought them off a bloke who worked in the toy department in Harrods.......
