E-body wipers

Post by Anonymous »

Anyone got a photo, or comment on E-body wiper blade/arm assembly.

My arms have previously been fitted with aftermarket blades/rubbers and are catching the trailing edge of the hood when parking.

I guess it`s because the aftermarket blades are taller than the OEM fitment.

I`ve temporarily moved the arms on the splines so they don`t hit the hood anymore and park higher (no longer recessed), but the wiper pattern on the screen is a bit odd.

Not sure exactly what you want so here are a few photos of my 1970 wipers (don't know if they changed in later years). Blades are 16-inch re-fills from Halfords fitted into the original wipers.

More. The self tapper in the end of my drivers side wiper is because it slips on the splines.

Thats just what I need to see - I knew you would have something to offer :)

You see, that`s my problem - the blade holder has been replaced by one of those crumby black ones, which are taller :( , so I don`t have the shallow stainless one, which appears to be sitting much lower in the photos. That`s why the tops of the blade are hitting the bonnet edge on parking.
The rubbers aren`t the problem, I`ve replaced them already (Halfords as you say).

Anyone got any blade holders I wonder?
