Changing valve bodies

Post by MilesnMiles »

Thinking of upgrading my 727 valve body. With the trans out of car, how straightforward is this job?

With the trans out of the car, changing the valve body is very straight forward. Doing it in the car is very messy, you will get covered in trans fluid. Ideally get hold of an inch/lb torque wrench to avoid over tightening the bolts. Unless you want to convert to full manual operation, why not use a Trans go shift kit to modify the valve body you already have?

Blue, i'll do whatever is the easiest upgrade. Where is the best source for the Trans Go shift kit? Ideally, I just want tighter shifts, its still mostly for street use :thumbright:

Sussex auto transmissions stock the trans go kit, about 50 odd quid.
