Had a problem turning engine over
Moderator: Moderators
Trying to set Turnip's motor up the other week was a 'mare. We had a decked block with Eddy heads. Brand new TRW solid lifters, used but good Crane mechanical 440 pushrods and a mish-mash of Crane Gold roller rockers. There were about 5 threads showing under the rockers, and the pushrod geometry was all over the place. We (Turnip
) ended up buying a complete train from 440Source, rockers, spacers, billet hold downs, pushrods and the recommended "wasted" type lifters. Will report back on this Chinese Takeaway in due course. Any chance you can cut and shut some pushrods to match? Or had you already cut and shut to the 15 others lifters?
