Galvanised Exhaust question.....

Post by Anonymous »

Does anyone know of anyone that supplys galvanised exhaust's in the UK. Even better if they are made to original factory patterns.

I know plenty in the US but wanted to avoid the shipping charge and I don't want to go the Stainless steel route or TTI thanks.

If not, is anyone bringing back a truck/container etc back from the US that if I had to go the US route, it could hitch a ride back with.

Cheers,

Gavin.

You could always buy a mild steel one here, and get it dipped. Hot dip galvanizing is much better for robustness and longevity than plating. Finish is a little less "polished" but it is better in the long run. Wouldnt cost much either if you go to the right place. :D

True. But but I have found they always have trouble with the bends over the axle and around the steering that's why I'm leaning towards the original factory jig systems from the US.

US Auto bent me a set of over axle bends for a Dodge Dart (closest fit I could find to Aussie Charger) in mild steel. I guess you could get that then give them to some one to do.

Sorry mate - what I meant was bend it first then dip it.

god, dipping then bending is no good to man nor beast.

Its just a thought though.

(Of course there is always Galvafroid Paint?)
