The rain stayed away, at least for the time I was there but it was very cold and windy. Most of the runs the tyres went up in smoke but I managed a few decent times with a PB of 12.6 @ 113. On the last run I lost all traction at around 4500rpm in first gear and thought the prop had fell off. I need a rev limiter.
Looks like the stories you hear about Flowmasters being restrictive is another myth.

Gonna swap yer tyres over for some stickys , then we'll really see what that 509 is capable of.

May need to be careful of the sprag if the tyres light up and then grip again.....well done though

, don't know why it is , but you are frustrating me running road tyres , really wanna see what it's capable of.

Best 60 foot time yesterday was a dismal 2.146. Dave Hoare (70 Challenger R/T) came down to spectate and pointed out that I have been running too much pressure in the rear tyres cause the middle section was worn more than the edges. I always use 30psi but will drop it down to 26 and see how they wear. Also noticed that I'm using 255/60 tyres on the back, could have sworn I fitted 275.
I'm still looking for a Bellhousing that hasn't got a 6 inch crack in it, maybe try slicks when I get one.

it is so true adam, drag racing is all in the launch take that away and its hopeless, if any off my cars fail to hook i end up lifting at the big end because i know the time will be w4nz,
waste off time on street tyres, step up and buy some slicks

Maybe drop the tyre pressure to 16 psi , Alan runs treaded Hoosiers , runs em @ twelve PSI , 1.7 60 FT

Duncan , what do you mean by 'lifting @ the big end'?
