Z9 oil filters for Aussie valiants

Post by Dave999 »

Hi Guys

my supply of Z9 oil filters is getting low (er 1 left)

anyone know a similar one that will fit (its for an Oz hemi265)

or do i need to visit a US ford specialist?

while i'm in the questioning mood.

Is there any truth in the rumour that transit van front brake pads fit aussie charger brake calipers?

Ta

Dave

I use Aston pads ground down abit in me Oz Val. PBR opposed cylinder calipers. (Aston was the best make on the box, can't remember whether Tranny was on there.) I just took the old pad down and tried it in their brake pad silhouette book until I found something close.

ah nice plan

Was this halfords or a brake suspension type place.

tried that on the oil filter front caused much confusion, took a load out of the boxes and they got a bit miffed.

think they eventually said no to get me to leave.

what car is it?
a valiant charger you won't know it

computer says no

etc

size and thread i can get a match for its just the rubber ring diameter thats wrong MMmm

Dave. just looked at my 265 (yes I got in the garage!!)
My oil filter is a Purolator L17200.
I havent cross matched that number yet but the US parts suppliers should be able to. US Automotive are very helpful in Bedford (ad in Connected).
It may be same as a 318, not sure, I do know the fuel pump is as I need to get a new one!
