wheels

Post by TonyO »

The model year 1971 was the last year colour coded wheels were an option. there were ....as I have seen....some early 72 cars built with colour coded wheels but these were not the norm. Chrysler reverted back to plain black steel wheels with dog dish poverty hub caps. So in my opinion anything built after...say October 72 could never of come with colour coded wheels. Anyway NOT all body colours were available for colour coded wheels anyway. If you wanna go steel rims with dog dish hub caps, be safe and go with black wheels. Moreover Chrysler NEVER painted their steel wheels, an outside contractor/supplier would have painted the wheels, therefore in terms of correctness, painted wheels will always be a shade away from the body colour. Yes u will be confused.

Good l;uck with the car i like it :thumbright: .
No tyreman, the car was originally white and is a satellite sebring "sundance" see photo which I can only assume was a marketing ploy by Plymouth to sell cars to hippies  it still has the original interior (though slightly careworn) shame the photo isn't colur as the interior is white vinyl with green kind of tartan cloth inlay  soon to be replaced with black
