I really wish Silloth in Cumbria could hold drag racing again because it is only a couple of hours drive from mine and is pretty central for the UK as a whole. Including N.Ireland.
It needs a new surface though. The old concrete has broken up badly now. Me and Mrs Woodhead had a drive on it in the Challenger a few years ago. It was pretty bumpy with the grass growing between the cracks.

Yeah, we stayed a night in Cherokee once. Pretty tacky, unless your idea of fun is seeing stuffed wild animals.
English Mountain dragstrip is actually much nearer to Sevierville TN - now that is a cool place, if only for Garrett's Muscle Car Museum

Hey Ivor give it a look man, Pigeon Forge is not my cup of tea but the road over the mountains from Pigeon Forge to Cherokee is great. Never ever seen a lot of people at Cherokee, drove threw many times, you then need to drive to the Maggy Valley and then onto Chimney Rock.......
Hey Mark (Newport 100) do you recognise the Fat Boy.
