It looks like a gap, but actually it's just a recessed lip on the hood - it should line up with the filler panel when viewed from the front (see my pic).

I don't believe they ever had hood scoop inserts though. I thought they were missing on mine, but I have never seen a 70 Bee or R/T with anything other than gaping holes.

Thanks for posting the pic Adam, I thought it must be correct as it's the only way it fits with no adjustment.
It looks like there are inserts missing though........ oh well, both can't be wrong :?

Yeah, it is weird about the screw holes. Almost like Ma Mopar intended to fit inserts, then decided to save a few bucks.

I still haven't fitted the lip mouldings, due to one that doesn't quite fit (off side rear), but I want to hang on to them - sorry Rich.

Will defo see you at Shakey, but probly in the M*stang - £100 in gas vs £200 in the Cornet. Might even run it up the track.

Doh!

Actually Rich, our "gorilla nose" hood was standard on the Bee and R/T, and the Ramcharger fresh air set up was optional on both.

I got all excited then Steve, these are for the "Ram-Charger" type scoops that sit "on" the hood (I think :? )

Thanks anyways :thumbright:
