Well DVLA man came today, nice guy & all that, but still no decision, so Brooklands will be a no show
Had a good day on the car, once he had gone.
Gave the engine bay & engine a damn good clean. Nice to see it gleaming how it should do. Installed a new Blower gasket & sealed the injector scoop. Tided up all the wiring, pipes , etc in the engine bay, couple of bits to finish off tomorrow. Will then start on the interior wiring. I have edited earlier posting with engine photos from today
Removed the polycarbonate front screen, side windows & half way through removing rear screen, in readiness for making some new ones.

Got hose direct from Andy Robinsons, as he has crimping machine & can make them up to length on the spot.Blue wrote:What is that lightweight hose Mark, and where do you get it from? Might be interested in some used Aeroquip, I have to put a fuel system in a car at some point.
Think automotive, also sells it, but you neeed to know your required length. I will go through what hoses & fittings I have some time this week & will post details.
Dyno/water brake wasn't big enough to hold the motor, torque was 1,000lb flat, around 1050-1100 HP @ 5250, then started slippingmarc-jerryatric wrote:That looks absolutely awesome! Can"t wait to see it at the track, how much power did the motor make?
Going to put on roling road in next few months, so should have truer figures then.

Well had a bit of good fortune today, been trying to find a LT1 water temp sensor, well not knowing jack about Chevy motors apart from the fact a LT1 is used in a Corvette.
I managed to find out, they use the same sensor in a Vauxhall Lotus, local Vauxhall garage was very helpfull & ordered me one, should be here in next few days.
So if I can get a coil organised, might fire the old girl up this weekend.
