I've never had so much fun working on a car - far more than I did with both the Chargers. Strange how things have turned around. With the Chargers I was obsessed with things like date coded exhaust clamps and genuine jacking instruction decals. Then there were the countless hours polishing the underneath of the gold R/T.

Now it's the absolute opposite. Everything has to look 40 years old - the Hemi scoop is a case in point. It was as new when I got it with a shine a mile deep - now it's, errrrrr, not. I've even had to age the window decals - am I becomming obsessed again? Yep, I think so! I've shown some pix to the guys here at work and it's beyond their comprehension that I'm not going to paint it - they just look at me blankly and think that I've lost it!
I guess it is subjective - very black and white - you either get it or you don't.

Blue and I took the Ratster out on Saturday morning for it's maiden blast since all the work has been done on it. I gotta say she was quite lively and the Winters shifter is a blast to use - don't use anything else kids :thumbright: First attempt at the strip is planned for this weekend. If I can get it into the 14's I'll be well chuffed.

Thanks for all the positive comments chaps and see you at the shows!

Best of luck, Jem. I am sure you will get a great buzz out of running the car down the strip and the looks it gets :thumbright:

Well,I get it. 8-) It's just a shame so many like to spend an arm and a leg on pretty paint jobs.
We need half a dozen more cars of this ilk on the scene,I just wish I could afford a 64 Fury.

Jem the Chargers you owned were both fantastic bit of kit, but being honest with you I much prefer this car. It is a credit to you :thumbright:

I'm in the "I totally get it" section. 8-) Brilliant. Look forward to seeing it on the strip, too.

With all the theiving that's been talked about, are you still planning to camp in the far away field by yerself this year? You might get stolen in the night and we'd never hear you scream... 8-[
