The Rescue Mission

Post by sinny »

Well after a Mustang & a Corvette I've decided to turn to a Mopar!

I'm sure many of you are familiar with the the car I have just purchased: the '69 GTX that has been sitting looking very sorry for it's self in Castleford for god knows how long!

I first came across her last summer when looking at a '69 Mustang but she was too expensive, but after some negotiating I obtained her for a great price!

So I'll be embarking on a full restoration which will probably take 2 years.

I know the GTX was a regular at York raceway & was owned by Steve Neimantas but if anyone knows any more history about her I'd love to hear it.

That's the one Bananaskin.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. She needs some serious work but will be one hell of a Mopar when she's done!

There's no going back now, very few Mopar owners return to brand X.

Welcome to the board mate. Is it going back to stock or will it stay a racer?

Well done for taking the job on. More GTX's on the circuit can only be a good thing. :thumbright:

Going back to stock, but I'm sure she'll venture to the track every now & again.

Thanks again for the warm welcome guys. I'm sure I'll be on here regularly with loads of questions!
