Billing roadworks

Anyone with a bit of local knowledge know whether this'll cause problems for those of us coming in off the M1?

Rob,
Take the A45 as far as the A428 turn off, take the 428 to Brafield, then take a left and it will bring you into Billing the back way past the Billing Mill.

Do you know if the roadworks/diversion is likely to cause enough havoc (on a Sunday morning) to be worth avoiding?

Stu's also suggested using the A509/A428 from M1 J14, then the Billing Road from Brafield, but I dont know how much longer this would take. I know the 509 is mainly dual carriageway but dunno about the 428?

Taking the A428 will probably add about 10 minutes onto your journey time, if that.
