Depends on the value of the car and the postcode you live in.

If you live in the North East they assume your risk is the same as in the roughest parts of one of the citys and load the premium accordingly.

If you have a agreed value of over £25K that makes it a touch more expensive too.

I just paid £438 for the Runner, this time. But this year was for road use (as the last insurance cover I had was for security only not road use). Because the car is not yet U.K registered I couldnt give number plate. So they gave me 4 weeks to get car registered and give reg details. They've made me cancel the policy yesterday because I cant get it m.o.t'd until it's running again! And cant get it registered. So I've lost my deposit of £200.00 and now have no insurance on my car.

No they wouldnt play ball. I had promised them a reg number though and if everything had gone to plan, it would have worked out. But for some reason they were not happy with just the vin number of the car until such a time as I can give a u.k reg number.

I wont be ringin' em back when it's sorted out either.
