Good question Dave,
This number is not designed to replace the race number issued by the scrutineers, but like you, I see no reason why it shouldn't be used.
Ultimately the decision is in the hands of Santa Pod and the scrutineers, but my feeling is they'll still scrawl a big white number of their own on the back window.
