Very few rules for RWYB at the Pod, there is not even a basic safety inspection like there is a Shakey....

Some may not agree with me, but I think there should be some form of inspection for a RWYB, at least covering basic safety & some form of vehicle trackworthiness.

Not just for the drivers safety of a particular car, but also for the person in the other lane who has every chance of being impacted should there be a problem with the other vehicle

They have an inspection at York too. Just general safety stuff to make sure everything is held down and no leaks or daft installations like the driver using the fuel tank as a seat.

I agree with you Mark, a basic safety check is not over officious and makes perfect sense to me.

Wasnt there, but a guy was refused at York recently for having wheel nuts missing (so Im told). Long drive back to north Wales I believe.
Shame for the guy but good that the safety standards are kept. As has been said, gives the rest confidence.
