Post by Jem »

Trying to work out my budget for the next set of mods.

Can anyone who's had their axle narrowed give me an idea of cost?

That's exactly what I was thinking Rob, this means he has to tub the car...then Blue will pipe in and say, "Jem, do you know this thing weighs nearly 4000lbs?".

...and by then, it's too late! :D
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.

Need to get the thing on the scales, but I don't think it's excessively porky......

Yep, it's all Blue's fault - he's a bad, bad influence.

Thanks for the breakdown Nick.

My gears whine like a banshee so I guess I'll need to take replacing those into account, but then again I won't need a spool so probably will work out the same?

What kind of times do you think you going run ? Big Dog ran 11.2 with a iron head 440 and my mate in the states runs 10.4 with a 440 with stage 6 heads, both cars have a moser 8 3/4, S/S springs, with a 10.5 tyre so if you cant run faster that I shouldn't bother.

 Hey Adam, narrowing the axel is the cheap bit at a ball park figure of £1300 you then need spring relocation, 4 link, or ladder bar, tubs, wheels, tyres, ect..............
