Well it has been 3 years and finally the Bee has landed.
The day started well as both Adam and Alan turned up ON TIME then had a call from a mate who had words with his missus and tuned up 10 min later to come along.
The day the started to deteriorate in normal MMA fashion when Alan caught a chicken and as this thread is not in the watershed I will leave the conversation to your imagination enough to say I hope she still lays tomorrow after her experience and I left the wife to clear up the mess on the back step.
After searching for the keys for 5 min we finally left in the Landy to collect the truck.
After checking the steering fluid it was hot foot down the M3 to Southampton docks gate 4 and the Willeneus Wilhelmsen dock office to collect the paper work and dock pass out.
THen we got sight of the GM2 lurking by the Queen Mary 2 and then we were all over it trying to find out how to start it.
As usual the battery was flat so after a jump the bee burst into lfe and we drove her over to the truck, up the ramps and onto the back job done.
We left the Dock and and stopped at the first watering hole and had the full English and watched as at least 20 people took pictures of the car with there mobiles should have charged it would have paid for the deisel.
First impressions are better than we had hoped for the engine sounded fine and the body work is good.
The interior is wrecked the dash and dash top ragged and covered with gauges and lights wires every where but hey I knew that.
So Adam And I will have a go on Saturday to fathom it out and do what we can for bovy and sort out a jobs list for the Nats.
For some reason it was extremely knackering probably something to do with having breakfast in a pub?
On the way back we had to stop twice due to the consumption then to round the day off as we passed Farnborough the Vulcan was doing a fly past so the picture with sky is really like a spot the ball photo but believe me it is on there.
Right now I am pooped but really looking forward to Saturday to check the car over on the ramp.
Here are the pics
