Stone Souper Charger

Post by Anonymous »

You may remember this from Brooklands, Muzz's Charger. I was cruising round Surrey in it on Sunday and doing some pics of it for ACW, I also got to do some shots with Dean's new 2008 Superbee on Saturday(awesome car, far nicer than a Challenger!)
Heres the dyno run from the Stone Souper
http://video.aol.com/video-detail/stone ... 3970268365
I still have the seat marks in my back, wicked!
After the general (lack of) response to the pics from the Ace cafe I have decided not to post any pics from either of these shoots, or any future ones on the MB, if you want to see them you can see them first in ACW and then later in Connected, or you can fork out for my Calendar. I'm fed up with people ripping my shots off the web without even so much as a thankyou....so the web can go and Bananarama! itself.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

:(

Look forward to seeing them in ACW/Connected.

Did you get to use your long thingy for on-the-move shots?

Did some with Dean's Superbee, wasn't easy as it doesnt have a pinch rail and the chassis is pretty well guarded by plastic covers, but I eventually found somewhere to hang the magnets, ran out of light with the Charger as we were at Epson Downs. Will go back and do some rig shots after the Nats.

Dave,

Sorry to hear you won't post anymore pics, I for one have the Brooklands pic as a wallpaper on my laptop and show people it all the time. I don't take credit for the pic clearly but do tell people that you take these sort of pics for magazines.
If I forgot to comment on them to you then I (for one) am sorry about that. You take great pics.

I hope that others that see my thanks may at least say thanks as well if they have them.

Regards

sorry to hear you are hacked off dave

and granted the money i have spent with you probably paid for 10 minutes charge in ya camera battery but.....

if i hadn't seen your pics on here and seen your postings on here, nodded smiled said hello at the few shows i go to each year. i probably wouldn't have made a purchase.

(before that the only pcitures i've ever bought were 1 of my daughter swimming under water (nirvana album cover style) and my wedding photos..... and i'm probably not alone)

its not every club that has members who regularly do shoots for magasines.. i.e i think we are lucky to have the members who do

although the rip offs probably hurt the pocket.
you appear to have that approchable avilable flexible and always there image, it would be easy to dismiss that as not worth the effort. i don;t think that image is made via a buisness website i.e here are my pictures and here's how to buy them. its your involvement with the club that has developed a bit of that

in my case it converted me. I'd never entertained the idea of buying a photo unless i had to (see above) ice creams beer car parts yes...photos...naaaa
you seem like a good fella with a passion for his work and above it all i like the pictures...converted once and probably again

then again i don't know how the business works i'm probably speaking out of turn so i'll sling me hook etc

:thumbright:

Thanks for the support chaps, it's a tough decision and as Dave says, my presence on here does help my profile as a photographer. It's not as bad as it sounds, I will just be withholding stuff that is due to be published, not everything, although that does mean most of it. Once published I will gladly put them up here and on my website for general viewing/print purchasing.

Sorry for the confusion :)

Thanks Blue, hope to be doing your Dart soon as you give me the nod. Tony, I certainly shall, and I have said before to help yourself to any shots from the Nats if you need them for the website or publicity/advertising etc. You are most welcome. By the way, I sent of the Power Tour 2nd instalment to ACW this morning, hopefully it will make the Sept issue.

Dave, I went in to see Muzz today, he told me you had been around then I read this, he is trying to get to the Nats with the car on Friday evening, but doesn't think he will run it, and I agree with what Dave999 said, so you just keep on taking them pics, you don't need a lot of comments about your pics, everyone knows how good they are.

Thanks Derek, yep Muzz says it was smoking a bit from the exhaust and has a few problems with pinking. Once he sorts out all the gremlins that will be a very quick Charger.
It's not so much the lack of comments, it's more to do with the people who take the pics from here and put them up around the web with as much as a thankyou or a credit even.....although comments are very valuable and it's what keep most of us going. To be honest I never know if a pic is any good till someone tells me it is, I just twiddle with it till it looks like something I might like ;)
