Well done Pete! Sorry to hear about BR&L, man alive there was some serious carnage over the weekend, I don't think I can remember a Nats were there was as many breakages, Bananarama! the guardrail, oil downs, start line Marshall's with sunstroke, some bloke backing a lorry into his mates land rover.....

And if that wasn't enough, there was always Redburn.....

Cracked block apparently....

Craig from surrey muscle cracked the bellhousing off his new Nova on the first launch, Brendan Clancy stuck his new Vette into the gaudrail on it's first burnout, and as for Scott, I think he was determined not to take that thing home in one piece, busted tailshaft then a core plug and then spat the prop off....

We bumped into Phil Prior with the general sitting at the side of the road on the way home, he was awaiting a recovery truck again, He had wiped out the bottom end and said it was making some right awfull noises

had a real good weekend despite a few mech gremlins
Jeff, Brl would only do 12.6 104 mph on the motor & only tried the gas once at 12.2
just not pulling good in top, 1.6 60 foot times (no gas) so good off the line
dave, g chiles & dave bill all had a look @ car but could not find anything wrong................. then found crack in block between core plugs but dave bill says it will stitch up [-o<

:thumbright: to wayne (red raven) for mechcanic of the year & fire hazard but I will let him tell this story....................

Bad luck with BRL Andy.....as the Geordie representative on the track, it was a shame it didn't come together for you. Between your cracked block, Neil's wrecked UCA, my broken tailpipe and Nigel's knackered faulty Bananarama! wasn't the luckiest of times for the North-East contingent.....good job Dave didn't bring his car down....he could have been equally blessed with luck!
I'm just counting my lucky stars that I got back under my own steam this year...a broken exhaust pipe is nowt - good luck getting the block stitched up mate. :thumbright:
