If a Clone & the read deal were side by side & in similar condition, I would totally agree with you, the real deal should take the win hands down. :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright:

With the ludicrous high prices of some the fully matching numbers cars, its unlikely they would be brought out & most likely stuck in a museum or hidden in private collectors garage. :P :P :P

I TOTALLY DISAGREE................................................ next year I`m entering an AIRFIX kit of a "HEMICUDA" and hope to at least get in the TOP 10.......

What's the problem with clones? There's more Escort Mexico's around now than were built,so what? Just as long as they're not passed off as the real deal when the time comes to sell.

Matching numbers or Clone, I think its fair to say as much work goes into putting them together, excluding chasing down matching part numbers.

If a Clone & the read deal were side by side & in similar condition, I would totally agree with you, the real deal should take the win hands down.

With the ludicrous high prices of some the fully matching numbers cars, its unlikely they would be brought out & most likely stuck in a museum or hidden in private collectors garage.

I appreciate there are the odd few that still use them, but still rare.

Good point :thumbright: i dont care if a car is a clone if it is good.

I also like car that are better than new when they stick better brakes and suspention on them and hotter motors,as long as they dont put silly wheels on resto-mods i think they are spot on :thumbright:

At least clones, gives people the chance to see what they really did look like in their fully glory.

I think you will find the difference is that the Airfix Superbird is better assembled than the original ....

The whole clone debate is just snobbery if you ask me. The clone snobs ought to put there money where there mouth is and buy a big money hemi or wing car and use it. I might have some respect for their opinion then. A well built car is a well built car, end of. So that's any musle era mopar out the window then :P :P :P
