finaly said goodbye to the duster , ive owned her for 7 years but for the lasy 2 years she has just sat on the drive collecting dust. her new owner already has plans to carry out the big block conversion ( as i intended to do) hopefully he will find his way onto here and keep us informed of the progress.
she will be well looked after, the new owner is/was into AC cobras, he builds the nice stainless headers and exhausts for them (so if anyone wants custom stainless headers he is your man) he was bored with his cobra, nothing to do to it so he wanted a project to play with, he assures me he wont race it like i belive that if hes going big block
ivor, i now intend to crack on with the dart, possibly get it done for next year (maybe not be totaly complete but should be in a raceable condition) i have the chassis jig arriving in a couple of weeks then the fun begins, i have all the parts all it needs is putting together, that cant be hard
Go on my son! Depending on what type of chassis jig you have, they are usually dead easy to sort, give me a shout if you are stuck and I'll trundle down.
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.
cheers ivor , im making my own jig, 2 lengths of rsj and some box to hold it together then look at how to support the suspension in the correct place before i even look at welding anything oh and i got myself a decent lazer level to ensure its all flat and true.
