Moderator: Moderators
Dave, if youve got the dough and its your dream i say go for it, one of my mates has had loads of different cars over the years, porsche's, merc's, beemers a couple of yanks (the only 1 i know is a pontiac t top - nice!!) subaru imprezza etc, he bought them because he could afford them, most of them he kept for less than a year, he says most of them were hard to drive and not very comfortable for every day use, he now drives a audi a8 auto or a golf gti as he says he's been there, done that & bought the t shirt etc
p.s put a hemi in your challenger, you know you want too

Its like hearing that Jon Bon Jovi has his personal hair dresser flown half way round the world and spends 4k on a hair cut....if you have the dough and dont mind spending it then why not...when you kick the bucket you cant take your dough with you!!!
Oh and Dave is the only one in the coutry who drives a 1970 R/T 440-6 G.O.M. Challenger....and thats just the way it is!!!
PS Daves dream car would be a new BMW with a stock street hemi from 1970!!!
....you love it Roppa440!!

Boosted, what do you want the car for, this is the crucial point...
if its a Street n strip car....i 'd go Stroked wedge
If its a race car......I'd go stroked Wedge
If its a stonkin looking Street car and not to bothered about $$$ and want visual appeal, and Kudos, i'd go HEMI....(with a blower)

They brought out heads like that years ago back when you would have found it difficult and expensive to find a Hemi block. But it required a lot of machine work of the block and became obsolete when Hemi blocks became available again.boosted wrote: I did hear somewhere that a "hemi type" head is being made for the 440....or did I dream it
I think Duncan has a Hemi head 440 conversion in his orange Challenger?
