Have not been posting much latley as the computer died and been using wendy's laptop and the keys are different and it talkes me longer.
Any way a little update.
Firstly after the NATS had to decide where to go with the Bee as it hit 145 last time out decided to fit the chute and wheelie bars change the rad and add an oil cooler.
Stripped out the inside, tank out wheels off and front off.
while getting under to cut out for the chute brackets found that the slicks where rubbing out on the inside of the tubs so that did not help.
The car had been on road tyres and I fitted slicks fo the NATS and did not allow for the fact that they grow at revs Doogh.
The brackets are fitted and the release handle so thats one job almost out of the way.
The wheelie bars brackets are for an 8/3/4 which is 3" tube but the Dana is 3 1/8" so the brackets are beeing modified to fit.
One of the rear wheels was loose and it goosed the holes so thats at the machine shop to.
Removed the carpet to find a couple of poorly fitted patch panels so they are comming out and being redone.
The seat was bolted on to the floor pan, which is like a buiscit tin lid, with some light 2 x 2 box so have made some channels to tie it into the the scuttle and tunnel so it will not rip out if I fart.
When done I will paint floor and thats it for now.
The rad was blocked so fitted a new aluminium one and a dual oil and trans filter with a fan so that should help.
Then a new seperate pump for the NOS and pipes for the rad and cooler and she should be good to go for the HRD's.
Why is it always such a rush?

Well as no one seems to be posting here is an update.
I have decided that BEE ELZE BOB is not going to be road registered.
Now I no that there is an arguable point on here but I feel the compromise is just to expensive so it is going to be a balls out racer.
I have about 20 odd jobs to do, the biggest is replacing the front floor pans, after removeing the carpet I found that the car had some heavy gauge steel welded over the original floors which had rusted out from the front of the seat to the baulkhead.
it had been badly fitted and as I wanted to clean the floor and paint it I just could not paint over crap so spent the best part of a day cuttiing out the plates with a grinder and melted my tracksuit to my leg Dogh.
had some new steel made up and hope to fitt tommorow.
Thanks to some great welding from Mark lindsey aka Cav the chute support and tug bar is fitted and I have had the wheelie bar brackets machined out so they now fitt the Dana.
So its finish Chute assembly and clip the pull cable
Refitt the tank
Fitt fuel pump filter wire and pipe up to the carb
Final fitt and adjust the wheelie bars
Refit tyre to repaired wheel and fit rear wheels.
Adjust the ladder bars to give more clearnce for the slicks which were rubbing the wheel arches.
weld in the seat suports and fit seat and seat belts.
Weld in the front floor pans.
Paint floors
Refitt the acelerator peddle.
Fit new throttle cable.
Fit aluminium door cards anyone want some arm rests?
Wire line lock buttons
Pipe up new oil cooler
pipe up new gearbox cooler
Pipe up rad
Reftt overflow bottle
Fit 2 catch cans.
Refitt Nos bottle bracket
Rewire most of the front end
Replace brake fluid
last and no t least if I get tme fit some side pipes to the headers.
May be ready for next years HRD,s

Bob,
I don't blame you going to convert to Race Car only, which in all honesty the best route to take if you seriously want to get those times down.

A street Strip car is always a comprise & never achieves the best of both. If my work situation had of been different, I would of kept mine a track car only. I probably wont use my car that much on the road, but at least if its a nice day I can just take it for a spin.

I prefer to create lists like you have done, which I have on my wipe board & I used to gradually wipe them off one at a time.

I found the beginning was great, the final post was another boost, but the time in the middle can be a bit depressing as you seem to spend loads of time & effort & not seem to get any where. Stick at it mate & it will all come together.

It also helps to have a good group of mates to spur you on, wind you up, drink all your coffee, beer, but they give you that kick to get it done & the odd hand here & there can neve fail to help.

All the Best
