Another thought... Some one's put a hell of a lot of work into that, then gone and painted it austin metro baige or desert storm dismal medeoker or something just as dreary........... I cant weigh that up
Did they think the t/a scoops would take away the fact that it was painted a dull colour, or is it so awsome that I've complet;ey missed the point?
It just reminds me of what the king of Scimiter GTE's would own... You know the man sat at the top of the scimiter tree.... somehow.. the big cheese ... numero uno, big fella... I'll get mi coat.
I mean... who likes GTE's ????
Nobody I've ever met

The colour was probably quite "in" at the time it was built. There's a lot of history behind that car. The probably quite deliberate "breakdown" on the way to court still makes me laugh. Quite a piece of engineering that and upset quite a few people at the time. I'm very glad it's still around.

You do know it's a 27litre engine in that thing, don't you?Woody wrote: Did they think the t/a scoops would take away the fact that it was painted a dull colour, or is it so awsome that I've complet;ey missed the point?

Yep, that's right, I didn't miss the decimal point!

Yeah and 4 valves per cylinder.

I'm quite astonished by it really, just think it would look better with a neat paint scheme.

How anyone can think that Roller is cool is beyond me. Being different is one thing, but buying a Rolls Royce and thinking you can improve it's looks by doing that to it is nothing short of being a Pikey.
I`ve said it before, and I`ll say it again.....................that statement comes from a person which owns a `70 Charger,6 pack,R/T "CLONE" and sells lucky heather at the fairs.

The Beast was a custom made chassis with a fibreglass body, so was nowt to do with a Roller, except the infamous grille that all the fuss was about.Clivey wrote:27 litres or not, it still looks like a dogs dinner.

The silver roller? I know it's not everyone's cuppa, but you have to admit it's very well done and finished. I like it, as it happens, just because it looks bonkers and makes people fall out about it.

But I bet, I BET, that if you were handed the keys and let loose for a spin in it... you'd have no choice but to come back grinning.

I'm totally with Rich on this one.
