The Grim Beeper gets a serious make over

Post by Anonymous »

After having no joy selling the road runner, and a lot of thinking we set about chopping the road runner up tonight, all windows are out all the wiring, seats, floors, everything, after a disatourous season damaging 2 motors we've decided it was time for a change, we are chopping the body off in the next few days and we will be putting it on the tube chassis we have, so stay tuned for a long for sale list, inc narrowed Dana, front k-member with willwood disks, seats, and a lot of 67 satelite panels

I'm going back up to my dads today and will get some shots of it, we're going all out this time, new paint, new graphics, an entire new look. This is the last time we'll be building/re-building a race car, so want to make it stand out

Got loads of pics, will post them when i get them resized but the body is now off, braced and mounted to dolly's ready for it to be prepped, the painter is coming tomorow to look at the shell, then we'll set about sanding it down, we may even have it media blasted yet, it depends how many layers are on there,

Sorry no pics yet but there will be this week, the Satellite body is now sold, the road runner is now mounted to the tube chassis temporarily, so we can mock it all up, then its back off, for the chasis to be painted, all the front end is mocked up in place, all the motor mounts are even in the right place, which was a relief :read2: ;)
Tomorow night we'll be mocking up the seats, block and trans, i really can't wait to get stuck into this fully,
