If I can't fit all the engine under the hood it'll have to be a cowl as there are strict rules on scoops over here. Then there's the small problem of cars going under 12 have to be caged but you can't put a cage in a street car.......Plus you are limited on what size difference you have on front to back wheels Think I'll keep this for cruising and get another project when I've got a house, plus I need a job, etc etc. And i've got to be attentive to the family!! Interesting views on subframe connectors. If you weld tubing between the front rails and back rails and don't touch the chassis pan that is ok. If you weld to the chassis pan it is not. Minitubs can be got away with if you make them factory looking....Dave's turbo LPG idea sounds fun though

Here's the most stoopid bit. You can pass your test and get straight in a Skyline/Lancer/Scooby or V8 anything on a P plate (newly qualified driver), with basic 3rd party cover. No wonder there are so many smashes.........Mod your old collector car to be safer, no! you can't! Even fitting seat belts in the rear needs a mod plate.....But i guess that one is sensible.
