Besides anything else, those two bloody great lights in the middle of the grille look ridiculous, they totally ruin the front end of a Mustang. And what about the sill exit exhaust. - Where's my sick bag....!
But what is this fixation with ruining good Mustangs to make these daft looking cars? Why are so many people doing it? Hundreds have been made, - who knows how many? I predict eventually most Eleanors will be 'converted' back to Mustangs and their Eleanor days best forgotten.
Mopars have the GL's and Ford have the Eleanor's.
At tleast the stickers are easy to take off a GL.

Jim'l fix it
Im with Jim on this one, where did the name ELENOR come from, is it a figment of some directors imagination or was it a real car?
Either way its a dogs dinner from a stylists point of view.

I think our Eleanor was one of the first ....... over here anyhow.
We changed some stuff like filler cap (hated it on the 1/4 panel), vents, and a few other bits.... took forever to build so the novelty wore off.
It is good, however, to try new things... and then sell them.

I quite like the Eleanor theme, something different in the beginning.
I guess the more there are, the less I will like as much, but thats also dependant on how well the work has been executed.
On a positive note, the film & cars attracts new people to our hobby, which we are always in desperate need.
"I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered."
I'd quite fancy a Patti, or a Marilyn.

Re: Nice one Dave
Totally agree, Mark. Yes, the more there are the less desirable they become, but the overall look of them is just a personal appeal and opinion. If you don't like 'em, fair enough. I for one think they accentuate the lines of an already cool car. The fact that they are a bit different appeals to me.mopar_mark wrote: I quite like the Eleanor theme, something different in the beginning.

Couldn't be any more right if you tried. Why put people off doing ANYTHING in this hobby by slating their work so hard, just because the rivets aren't in the right place? If no-one had ever tried anything different in the first place, we'd have been without half the coolest cars in the history of the hobby to date. Modifying cars is a core part of one side of the hobby. Most of the cars I grew up with reading about (in second hand copies of my brothers old Street Machines and Custom Cars) were modded heavily. Does that mean they were all to be slated, or that different peoples take on a car was what made it all interesting?mopar_mark wrote: On a positive note, the film & cars attracts new people to our hobby, which we are always in desperate need.
Don't really want every car of the same model to look the same. That would make it "seen one, seen 'em all." Boring.

Aesthetics is just an opinion. It would be boring if everyone liked the same thing.

Mark's right. Like it or not, it's keeping the hobby alive, which is what we all want, right?
