Interiour pic's required.

Post by Trigger_Andy »

Could someone with a '70 - '74 Barracuda tale some interiour shots for me,please? Since the previour owner fitted the new carpets he never noted the holes/bolting points of the Seat Belts or the Sun Visors. I dont have a center consol and dont think this will make a diference but you never know.

Any help would be much appreciated. :thumbright:

Andy, for the seatbelts you can push something thin and sharp from underneath the car into the carpet. All the seatbelt hole are visible from underneath.
I include a pic of the sunvisor, driver side. Again, if you feel with your finger, there will be a large middle hole, with 3 small holes for the screws.
Hope this help

Andy, the middle belts in the rear bolts next to the prop tunnel, you can see that from underneath. The side ones are only visible if you have the rear seat out

I'm not having much luck with these Seat Belts :x I have a 3 point rear belt set up but can only find two holes. Both under the Rear Seat. I cant find the top third hole anywhere! I'veeven removed the plastic trim. Are these cars ment to have 3 point rear belts? They look genuine and period enough.

I've found the mounting hole for the Inertia reel but it seems to sit in way!

Sorry to harp on about this. Looking in the Duster the Inertia reels are for the Rear Seats. I can feel what feels like a hole under the new Headlining that could be a bolt hole. If it is could the 3 point Seat Belts be for the front? I dont wanna cut a hole in the nice new lining and its also glued down.

andy
i reckon your inertia belts are for the front if they are correct, they fix against the inner sill just behind each front seat, one part must go up to the roof area above the reel, they were a different belt setup on the 73 on cars i am sure

Cheers Dunc,
looking at what little interiour pictures there is on-line my Inertia Reel seems to be facing the wrong way. Ie sticking out on the horizontal as opposed to coming out the top. Its almost imposible to wind out the reel in this position. Behind my rear seat looks different to Roel's too. If the Inertia was in the back it would still work ok coming out of the side of the Inertia unit. I'm almost 100% sure there is no third mounting point in the rear.

All belts have Chrysler written on them.

Some piccies........
