Dumb question

Post by Anonymous »

As the title says but i'll ask anyhows.

The Pit has managed a best of 1.6 60ft with a noticable bog on the hit , now sorted the bog (excessive purge line to solinoid length  ) , just wondering what it might pick up. :dontknow: ie: if it picks up a tenth on the 60ft does that equate to 2 tenths Et? all else bein equal.

Just need that tinsey winsey bit out of it. ;) :D  :read2: :read2: :working:

Either it's not a dumb question, or we're both dumb :geek: as I've been wondering this meself for a few weeks too.

Our best 60ft is a pathetic 2.19  - as I've mentioned before, that was on the BFG's with not much heat in them, easing off the line for the first 20ft or so.
With a best of 13.65 @ 104, we know it's capable of 12's with that mph, so if we could shave off, say .5 from the 60ft, does that mean .5 off the e.t.? Or more?

Presumably the mph would go up a gnat's, too? :read2:

I thought that 1/10 at 60ft, equated to 2/10 at the 1/8 and 3/10 at the 1/4.

Could be about right that Mick. At least if the acceleration is fairly consistant.
Good 60fts do seem to make a big difference because your speed at any part of the track will be increasingly higher as a result.

Went from low 12s to high 11s with a change from 3.91 to 4.10. Would have to look for the slips to see what the 60fts were but I think Linda still has them.

But i also improved the fuel supply in that time.

Dave, that seems a big change ~1/2 sec. Do you feel/know that the fuel added any? What was the fuel mod? Tyres same, air quality same etc? Be good to see 60ft difference.

Picked up around 4 tenths. Better fuel and air delivery plus the GV unit. But otherwise exactly the same.
