I keep reading this Dave and can't help thinking there is a book to be written here!
oh and our young friend Hans in Holland has me shipping hi the ARP flywheel bolts from my hemi to him overnight UPS, so he can get his fired up at the weekend.
What do you mean you can't get a 1/2"x20 bolt in Europe, blimey I'll bet in the old days you could have found some one to make them oop for ya.
Still art students and stuff are useful for something- not sure what though
Good luck with it mate

The hans/hemi saga has been going on for so long now it just about qualifies as a legend. :D

I am looking forward to a ride in that car at some point in time.

which is but 2 hour train ride with the crank in a tartan wheely shopper

that's just bonkers

Isle of Harris

well if he can still run his business from there relying on reputation alone he's obviously doing something right

oops.

PS George has probably taken up flower arrangeing

spend a couple of years on Oz and everything you thought you could depend on changes

Maybe paul :)

the biggest heaviest in there are 5 tyres for a mate of mine thats big into offroading, they are huge and he's putting them on a toyota pickup with stock axles   so if anyone on here has any toyota diffs keep em as he's going need LOTS

He turbo'ed it a while ago using a turbo off of a cat 428 i told him as it was diesel he'd got way to much compression and to wind the wastegate right out first and start from there, didn't bother 2 rods through the block.

Rebuilt it with another block got the turbo set ok and dunked it into 6ft of water running no snorkel BANG again.

He decided one saturday it was too long so 2ft out the middle and 2ft off the back, got it done for 5.00am monday morning to go to work in.

Rolled it 4 times now, 2 cabs later he fits a cage  anyway back to the point one day i'm going to win the augument we have all the time and that is STICK A V8 IN IT and throw the axles in the skip and start again
maybe with these tyres he may just listen

The other problem is mate those tyres are 35" tall and about 15" wide and 5 of them fill the bed completely, it's only 8'x4' , so problem is what to do with all the other stuff :( .
They came on a BIG pallet from Florida by truck and we had to roll them off the artic into my pick-up, the othere thing is they weigh 80lbs a piece and I can't lift 'em. I can barely walk at the moment.'Tis all a bit problematical.........
