At last! racing here!!!!!

Post by Anonymous »

Just found out that a group have purchased timing gear, lights etc over here, all wireless equipment and are thinking of setting up events in ireland!! :thumbright:
The first trial event is on the 4th oct in bishopscourt, the guy who's running it said since people have heard about this he has been bombarded from different clubs etc and he said he didnt think there would be so much interest!!! as far as im aware is an ex airbase or something, so at last we over here might get our chance to get a few runs in and do a bit of testing, if i,d have known sooner i'd have done a bit of work on the car, but this could be the very spark to make job of it!

I'll lt you know how it goes! fingers crossed :thumbright:

Oh and as far as i know this will be one of the first properly timed `1/4 mile event ever here!!!

Good idea Mo, would be nice to have something in ACW about the Irish scene. Will try and tie it up with a trip over home at some point next year.

Was driving the duster, needs a few bits but its now a good time to strip and rebuild, the motor was to be changed anyhoo, now will look into doing it right! the steering box pulled the motor back on the motor plate mounts, and kinked the header, also sheered the box bolts, steering arms are bent and idler arm, bottom arm and upper a arm, so in all, new wing, repair all right side, upgrade front susp, remove motor and box, build new motor, and go fom there!
this is how it looks now.
