Skippy's Zephyr

After the Cossie powered Mk1 Escort went I was on the lookout for something to replace it, this time hopefully something that I could get enthusiastic about, something I never could with the Escort. I don't know why coz I think the red RS2000 is great, but I never did get "into" the yellow one.

I was undecided as to go for something I've always had the urge for, a Hot Rod, but couldn't justify the price they are fetching, and if I'm honest didn't know whether I could live with a rod. Other option was either a Mk1 or Mk2 Zephyr/Zodiac, V8 powered of course.
This one came up at the right money, its got a 302, C4 box and Chevy 10 bolt axle and has had a rack fitted at some time with Leeda built front struts and all polybushed.
As you can see it needs a bit of fettling but nothing that can't be sorted over the winter.

Excellent! I agree it would look better level, the back end is to short to be jacked up...should be a hoot to drive!
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.
