Post by AllKiller »

Anyone know or used a courier that will ship to Switzerland and doesnt cost the earth over 60 quid ish

All couriers on line i ve found want stupid money because the box ( with Raliegh Chopper) in is to big ?

More than a one man lift im told ?? its a bike nothing else,
but they all seem to have a regulated size and wont touch it after that ?
Quoted 240 quid........what !!

Box is L x 132, H x 82, W x 19...weight 20Kgs
in a standard bike box...how do they ship bikes normally ??

Can anyone help ....

Looking on ebay, private sellers are pick up only or £35. Whereas business sellers are quoting £10 next day, both rates for UK mainland.
Last ones Dad had were £8 each from the midlands.
I sent a vintage 2 gallon can to Holland last year and couldn't get a better rate than £38, 2KG with packing.

You could have yourself a day trip - Easyjet Gatwick to Geneva, then train to Lausanne . Lunch in Lausanne , then back home in the evening .

It'd be cheaper, and the train ride aound lake Geneva is scenic.

Just a thought !
