Are you running street tyres and if so, what is your launch technique.

Try the paper clip trick as already suggested , fast & easy diagnosis.

Pull the diaphram & check for splitting/perishing , also if the check ball is still there , blow out the vac passage to the housing too.

If your cam's powerband is much higher than the stall on the converter, then it might be leaving the line pretty flat, although, it's usually more of a problem with slicks.
Also if your car was smoking the tyres halfway down the track, then your speed and et would be low.
Your trap speed is low but the car is hooking up, which indicates a power problem, could be lack of fuel, timing, carburation or missmatched parts.
