just spoke to the other half and unfortunately she is concerned that as we already have 2 biches it might be a problem, however she has worked closely wiyh the local rescue centres (that dont put dogs down for no reason) when she worked at a kennels and is happy to take the dog to one of these to ensure she ends up in a good home. you can contact me or my other half any time to discuss it. sory i cant be of more help.
too much is never enough
Sorry Tony, I have only just spotted this thread. I do feel terrible about this situation but my wife will not have another dog. I think in a few months time I think I would be able to talk her round. But right now she is digging her heels in and I just cant help.
I really really hope some one on her can help but unfortunaltly the timing is wrong for me.

If she ends up at the local Kennel i will say to them that if no one claims her then to let me know rather than the worst happen, she is such a nice dog though im sure people would be fighting over her to get her if she goes for adoption

Thanks i never though of going to my local Vet for adviceWolfman wrote:It may be a bit late,If you phone the local vets they should have a number for rotte rescue who may take over the problem get her assessed to see how screwed up she is before homing again.

I nkow nothing att all about Dogs? but even i have got her to sit and stay etc so im sure she could be trained to be good.
One thing for sure is She will make a poor Guard Dog! no evidence of her been Vicious! the local cats are tougher by far!

You would not believe how long it can take for a dog to open up after getting screwed up ,best record for three of ours is four years I had to feed one from my mouth{terrible I know} to get her to trust me but it was the start of her opening up,Now she 100% better but will never be a normal dog again

Keep at it "TYREMAN" and try the "ROTTY RESCUE"..................

I`M PROUD TO BE AN ENGLISHMAN.......WITH A `68 GTX
This is the one thing that winds me up! I hate people that are cruel to dogs, (and other animals), if l had the time etc l'd have her, but after losing my last dog, (German Shepherd), l realise what a commitment l had been giving to her! NOBODY should have a dog, especially a big one, unless they realise just how much they cost, and how much care and love they need. As for the RSPCA, l have been donating on a monthly direct debit for over 15 years now, perhaps it's time for me to stop!!!

I will not be drawn into a battle of wits with an unarmed man!
Glad it looks like things are looking up for miss rotty. Im also glad she is far enough away from me to not make me feel obliged to step in
Before I got my Tara (June this year) I went to the RSPCA and was so disappointed with their whole setup, they were very unhelpful. I had the best home in the world available for a dog with constant company, and acres of countryside to frolic in, and they wouldn't even let me LOOK at the dogs that I could hear barking in the background. Instead they made me fill out a form with my working hours, my fence height, my sock colour.. , then they let me look through the ring binder catalogue of abandoned animals, which almost made me cry by the way, then after picking out a shortlist of 4 or 5 doggies, they said sorry none of these are suitable for you.
I was like WTF? No wonder those places are full of animals.
They still wouldn't let me look at any dogs in real life.
I went home and loaded up Gumtree and found 3 ads and went driving around and looked at 3 different dogs at different private homes around the south east and settled on the last one , Tara. Younger than I wanted (12 wk pup) but I felt more of a connection than with the others so I chose her.
Anyways, I won't be recommending the RSPCA to anyone soon. And they've lost out on my donation money because I didn't get my dog from them.

Mouth breathing society draining evil heartless thick-as.... scum should be strung up by the danglies.
Few things in life make me as furious as animal mistreatment.
Give the owners to me, I'd happily push the button...
PS - My rescue greyhound is lovely, but definately has trust issues. A year in and she is a delight with us, but strangers (men) send her scurrying.

Thanks Lee,and it was good to talk to you today i will call you again tomorrow.
If it was not for the Distance i would be over to you right now!!! the Dog Warden is coming in the Morning if she is still out? and if she goes to the warden? then i will tell them if they cant home her?or sort the problem out! then i will take her
and then i will pass her on to you Lee thanks.
I have been advised to make sure the warden gets her otherwise this could be an ongoing problem in that if i take her to our good member Lee then my neighbors could just get another Dog and the problem will persist with another Animal.at least doing it this way they will be fined if they claim her, and the warden and council etc will be aware of them in future.
Some good news is She seems to be putting on weight
and the owners have even got a collar for her,its sad they wont do more
