Yes. But if torque is at low rpms you will reach your top speed in the first 60ft and not get any faster!
You need torque at high rpm for any kind of high speed sport. And to take advantage of that you need gears.

I fitted a new ring and pinion last weekend, 3.91 gears. I don't know how people live with 4.10s on the street, I only did about 50 miles and that was enough.
Got the gearbox and clutch out today and fitted the overdrive, might fit it tomorrow if I can get it off the bench.

Are you saying you fitted 4.10s recently then took em back out for the 3.9s? , what gears were you running before?

I was running 3.23s and fitted 3.91s. There just seems to be a lot of these Mopars running 4.10 gears on the street and I don't know how they live with it. 4th overdrive will be like 3:1 gears which will be nice on a run.
