Why? if you're not using it on the road? Or do you mean collector extensions?

Bob, do you want this moved to Members Car Show? :read2:

hi Rob,
If you think it should go there I am fine with that :thumbright:
And yep extentions to the headers but it is low on my priority list.

Well the bee is in the hive for the winter and finally I have started to rip her apart.
Not to bad so far, the engine and box are out and the engine peripherals are removed and I should get the heads of today and find out what the engine has for guts.
The gearbox is out and going for an overhaul the next thing is to remove the screen, dash, all the wiring and clean the engine bay ready for a freshen up.
I am looking to replace the K frame with a tubular one and would be glad for any suggestions ie Magna force or similar? :thumbright:

Hi Bob,
I have only heard numerous Pros & Cons for both Magnum, Alterkation kits, but dont have or know anyone with real experience.

What is the main reason for you wanting to lose the K members.

Not sure how much the Magnum, etc kits are ? If it were me, I would investigate mid plate/strut front end. But then again, not sure of the reasons for you wanting to change

Well finally took the plunge and tugged the lump out of the Bee and tonight took the Gearbox which smelt like Adams ferrets over to the Herts meet to pass onto Blue to check over.
I suspect it is a TCI replacement item as there is a witness of an oval sticker on the casing and its painted black.
the converter was a 9/12".
Took it in OLd Yella and picked up Big AL and Adam on the way now, the F2 cab is not that wide and whilst I am quite svelte unfortunately the Black Charger boy,s are not and Adam had his flying Jacket on which was like having a sheep between me and Big Al.
Had to open the windows to fit in and Adam had the 4 on the floor between his legs and after a couple of embarrassing gear changing attempts it was decided that Adam would change gear Big Al was calling them and I was clutching and steering.
It was a bit like driving by committee but the old girl got us there and back home.
I have stripped the Bee engine and what I thought was a 500 stroker turned out to be a stock 440.
It has raised deck pistons, solid cam and lifters with gears for timing.
The heads gave been extensively flowed and have large valves.
The sump has an external molidium pump and a swinging pick up under a
splash plate.
The whole thing was topped of with a single plane and 1050 Dominater.
So now I have the dilemma whether to stroke the existing engine and replace the heads or to source another engine.
Decisions decisions :help:

Well after a bout of winter Mopar blues caused by a few health issues which may mean the car will have a new pilot next year, I have decided where I am going with the Bee.
After all the work put in last year especially the help from Mark and the boys I was a bit disappointed with the motor set up after the strip down and was sorely tempted to do a deal with Dunc for his Hemi or find a Mega, but to be honest the whole race thing is a bit of fun for a few weekends a year and In the current economic times I simply cannot justify spending that much on the car.
So Its going to be a best for buck build probably a 440 543 full on stroker and look out for a 2nd hand Indy top end between now and the spring.
So basically apart from the Block, oiling system and carb the rest will be junked / sold off.
If the funds will stretch that far I will replace the front end for a tubular one, and upgrade the roll cage through the bulkhead to stiffen the new front end.
