You can get 500bhp from a 340 but it would be a rubbish engine to drive on the street.

If you stroke it to over 400 inches you might be able to make well over 400bhp and still have an engine you can use.

Don't be taken in by all these yanks that claim big numbers. They tend to call a "street car" a car than can roll off a trailer and make it around the block without overheating or falling apart. Just.

From what I saw recently, southern Ireland dos not even have roads. I'd be buying a rally car :thumbright:

Dave, don't go n' spoil that mint car son, you can have 500hp easy with yer 6-pack ......I think they work brilliant giving you the best of both worlds :thumbright:

The last 6-pack motor I had was a peach, easy high 11/low 12 sec in a Charger and 15 to the gallon on the center 2-barrel cruising :o

Talk about bored! Just bought a PS3 to alleviate the winter blues. Reckon i could rebuild my engine quicker than it takes to download games!
Meanwhile, pulled the motor out of the Dart for winter 'stuff' to be done to it.

I have to totally agree with Budgie here. You will ruin the value and the drive-ability of the car. I have had 5 six pack (or 6 bbl) cars, and they are THE best on the street. My 440-6 pack motor was much better than a 426 hemi on the street.
