Hmmmm..... That'd leave me how much to pay wages..... :-k

Oh yes, about a quid! :D

Feel very sorry for all the Brackley workers. And Reubens. Guess we won't be seeing the new Senna on the block in F1 in 09 then.

In what way is Reubens like Senna?

What is kinda odd about this is that indirectly Honda is firing it's most talented staff. Of course it isn't as cut and dry as that, but if you were trying to surf out an economical storm and come out ahead of your competitors you might have thought you would want to keep your most talented engineers and fabricators.

In reality I know that the F1 team has little to do with the production stuff but it is surprising how much research done by race teams is applied to auto development, right down to manufacturing processes and materials.

The racing industry is already feeling the pinch and this will make matters worse unless a buyer is found, and somehow I think that they will. The team has been working on a 3 year strategy to pull themselves up the grid. 08 was almost deliberately sacrificed in order to put all their effort into developing the team for 09-11.

Most media commentators don't seem to understand this (especially the dumb bint they sent to interview Ross Brawn. When you speak with one of the most intelligent engineers and strategists the racing industry has seen you don't first get his name wrong then ask dumb questions that the cleaner could probably answer! What the hell are the BBC playing at!!!

You misunderstand James.

Stu was referring to the fact that Bruno Senna was in the running for a seat at Honda next season.

ah, I hadn't been keeping up on the driver changes. Those guys are just mere tools the engineers use to operate their cars ;)
